Collaborative Process
Collaborative Process
Collaborative process is a method of resolving your issues through selection of a process that permits you and your attorney to work with your spouse and spouse’s attorney in reaching a mutually acceptable agreement. · A structured and controlled setting encourages trust and objectivity in the negotiations. The parties can protect the interests and feelings of the children. · You control the process so you determine the timetable. With both parties and attorneys working toward resolving issues the parties are free to craft creative arrangements for both property and parenting issues. · No public hearings so confidentiality and privacy are maintained. · A process designed to help healing and move forward into a new family dynamic. · Each party selects an attorney trained in the collaborative process and agree not to litigate.** **If the Husband and Wife cannot resolve their issues and decide to litigate the collaborative attorneys back out of representation and the Husband and Wife must each obtain a new attorney.
